The Buddy Holly Story charts the musician's life from his Texas upbringing with a group of high-school friends who'd become The Crickets, to his meteoric rise to fame, and his tragic early death -- all set to a soundtrack of some of rock 'n' roll's biggest hits. One of the first "jukebox musicals," the show features "That'll Be the Day," "Not Fade Away," "Peggy Sue" and "Oh, Boy!" among other timeless Holly tunes, plus Ritchie Valens' "La Bamba" and the Big Bopper's "Chantilly Lace."
