Dinner With Marlene
Lamb's Players Theatre
1142 Orange Avenue Coronado
The glamorous grand dame of Hollywood's Golden Age, Marlene Dietrich was a cabaret stage and screen megastar from Germany who happened to be staying at the same swank Paris hotel as the father of San Diego playwright Anne-Charlotte Harvey in 1938. This world-premiere play takes you inside a real-life dinner party, hosted by American socialite Barbara Hutton, and attended by Dietrich, famed violinist Fritz Kreisler and others, as Europe teeters on a dangerous political precipice. Lamb's Players Theatre in Coronado stages this much-anticipated new drama.
