Based on the popular movie, A Christmas Story follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker in his quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun under the tree for Christmas. Ralphie pleads his case before his mother, his teacher and even Santa Claus himself at Higbee's Department Store. The consistent response: "You'll shoot your eye out!" All the elements from the beloved motion picture are here, including the family's temperamental exploding furnace; Scut Farkas, the school bully; the boys' experiment with a wet tongue on a cold lamppost; the Little Orphan Annie decoder pin; Ralphie's father winning a lamp shaped like a woman's leg in a net stocking; Ralphie's fantasy scenarios and more. One show, two very family friendly plays with music! Bubbe and The Mensch on a Quest: This story is about the Mensch, who's on a quest to find the lost Family Heritage Menorah. While on their quest to find the lost menorah, Bubbe tells the story of Chanukah and why it lasts 8 nights. This story is filled with lots of singing and laughter and in the end summarizes the Hanukah tradition. Las Posadas: It's time for the choir to go caroling but the choir director is sick and cannot lead them. A caroler volunteers to direct. They try out one of their songs to make sure their idea works. As they carol, they visit a family decorating their home for Christmas. The carolers and the family share the Christmas story together and experience a bit of the tradition of Las Posadas.

So when 17 of a raggedy 20-member acting troupe in England fall victim to food poisoning the night before their performance of A Christmas Carol, it's up to the three remaining cast members to deliver a stellar show. From miserly old Scrooge to the innocent young Tiny Tim, the trio tackles nearly two dozen characters in this hilariously twisted take on the holiday classic, swapping genders and going from living to dead and back again quicker than you can say "Bah, humbug!" along the way. Bawdy humor and madcap quick-change fun abounds in Scrooge in Rouge at the Ocean Beach Playhouse and Arts Center in San Diego
