Since its founding in 1959, the Shanghai Acrobats of the People's Republic of China has been one of China's most influential and competitive acrobatic companies. In their latest performance at the Balboa Theatre in San Diego, the Shanghai Acrobats present Shanghai Nights -- a new program, featuring more than a hundred of China's top acrobats, that blurs the line between excitement and elegance. Through motion, color and music, this production highlights the vibrant, diverse and chaotic nature of life in China's largest city.
