The Bad Seed
Lamplighters Theatre
5915 Severin Dr. La Mesa
Maxwell Anderson's Broadway thriller tells the terrifying tale of a mother whose home, marriage and family are shattered by the dawning realization that her dear, sweet daughter may in fact be a budding sociopath. Young Rhoda Penmark is a charming girl of many accomplishments, chief among them: lying, theft and possibly even murder. But what are the roots to Rhoda's seemingly evil nature ... and will her mother be able to right the potential wrong she's unleashed on the world? Based on the hugely popular William March novel that was also adapted into an Oscar-nominated movie, this Lamplighters Community Theatre production is a tense, plot twist-laden theatrical experience.
