Arsenic and Old Lace
Tenth Avenue Arts Center
E Street 930 10th Avenue San Diego
Meet two charming and innocent old ladies who have an unexpectedly dark secret. They like to populate their cellar with the remains of socially and religiously "acceptable" roomers. They're part of the venerable Brewster family, who came over on the Mayflower but now something seems to have gone wrong in the bloodline. Aside from the murderous aunties, there's also one brother who thinks he is Teddy Roosevelt and one who acts more like Boris Karloff, leaving the one normal brother, Mortimer, to manage his wacky relatives. Will the aunts get caught? Will "Teddy" ever finish his tunnel to Panama? Will Mortimer ever get to settle down, get married and enjoy a normal life? These questions and so many more can only be answered by the Trinity Theatre Company at the Tenth Avenue Arts Center .... just don't drink the wine!
