Bus Stop
Stagehouse Theatre
Grossmont College Drive El Cajon
An American classic filled with warmhearted compassion, Bus Stop is a comedy about strangers finding love, friendship and themselves in the middle of Nowhere, USA. Spend an evening stuck inside a Kansas diner with the play that inspired Joshua Logan's 1956 film starring Marilyn Monroe. When a snowstorm forces their bus to pull up to a roadside diner, five weary travelers end up spending the night. Cherie has been relentlessly pursued by a young cowboy named Bo with dreams of throwing her over his shoulder and escaping to his Montana ranch. The cafe's owner and the bus driver finally find time for friendship, a middle-aged scholar comes to terms with his own life and a young waitress experiences love for the first time. Enjoy Grossmont College's Theatre Arts Department production of Bus Stop at El Cajon's Stagehouse Theatre.
